Pigment Camouflage
In this image pigments are being placed into a surgical breast scar.
Paramedical tattoo, also known as medical micropigmentation or camouflage tattoo, offers a specialized approach to concealing scars, stretch marks and hypopigmentation by mimicking the skin's natural appearance. We pair this with the Nue Conceal device, a cutting-edge technology that precisely analyses skin tone, ensuring accurate colour matching for tattoo pigments. Together, they create a seamless blend with the surrounding skin, providing individuals with a natural-looking camouflaged solution to visible skin imperfections. This eliminates the need for extensive manual colour matching. Gone are the days of guesswork and inconsistency!
The Nue Conceal colour matching device is used to find your exact skin shade. Then, a semi-translucent cosmetic pigment (different from standard tattoo ink) is gently tattooed into the scars or stretch marks to camouflage them. Results to be seen from 4-6 weeks after the skin has healed. Generally, 2-5 treatments are required with noticeable results from 1. This is due to scar tissue not being able to hold onto pigments as well as healthy skin. The pigment method is best suited for flat white scars and hypopigmentation. If the scars are still textured, red/brown and irregular, they are best suited with starting with the Inkless technique first. You can learn more about Inkless here.
