When you see the perfect clinical end point and you know they are in for a good result!
What is a clinical endpoint?
Clinical endpoints are immediate or early tissue reactions that occur during treatment. They guide the paramedical tattoo artist in delivering safe and effective treatment. In this case we want to see the skin start to turn pink or red to know the inflammatory response has started!
The serum or pigments are applied to the superficial layers (epidermis) of the skin via a skin needling technique using compact needles to ensure only specific areas of the skin are targeted. This stimulates and creates regeneration of your body’s collagen, elastin, fibroblast and melanocyte activity creating improved texture and skin tone to the treated area.
What to expect after your treatment;
- the treated area will be swollen and red immediately after.
- The next day, the swelling will subside but the area will remain red.
- After about 3 days, the redness will start to turn dark and reddish-brown. This hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) for some people may completely heal in a week while others can last anywhere from 4-12 weeks. As long as the area is still darker than the rest of the skin, it is not fully healed.
- Once fully healed you can have your next treatment. Achieving best possible outcome may require 2-5 sessions, depending on your skin type and result desired.
All bodies heal differently and it can vary from person to person. This can be due to factors like age, genetics, health and the severity + size of the stretch mark or scar being treated.
Remember patience is key and aftercare is just as important!
